Welcome USGS Leaders!

On Monday, July 11, the University of Oklahoma (OU) will host a team of leaders from the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) to determine the capabilities of a consortium of OU, 3 sister universities, 2 sovereign tribal nations, and a federal lab to lead the USGS South-central Climate Science Center. The site visit results from an excellent proposal submission from the consortium. If selected, the multi-million dollar Center will focus on the impacts of climate on ecosystems, fish, wildlife, water, cultural heritage, and other resources managed or overseen by Department of the Interior bureaus. The South-central Climate Science Center will serve the science needs of the region's five Landscape Conservation Cooperatives.
