Looking at the map above, color the counties based on the number of tornadoes using the color key as follows:
 
Color blue if 0 to 20
Color green if 21 – 40 
Color yellow if 41 -60
Color orange if 61 – 80
Color red if 81 – 100
 
Once the map is in color, answer the following questions:
 
1. What part of the state has had the highest number of tornadoes?  Why do you think that is?
 
2. What part of the state has the lowest number of tornadoes?  Why do you think that is?
 
3. How does the number of tornadoes in the northeast part of the state compare to the central part of the state?
